Return to Love (Poem)

We are all here, on this planet, to exercise love
No one denies it, no one doubts it
Yet, knowing is different from acting out
You must learn what it is first, by being exposed to it

We are all here, on this planet, owing to our Mother’s love
Who exhibited enormous love for us to be here
We may not know when we are little
Yet, eventually we will deeply appreciate all the suffering she endured

Once you grasp the idea of what love is
Start to show, share, nurture, and exercise what you’ve learned
The more you radiate your love, the more you will receive
You will be surrounded by love; you will become love
Where all of us, beyond time and space, belong

Be YOU.

  1. Mothers, and others, risk their lives for us — change their lives for us — even before knowing who we are. And some in this world spend their lives working for our well-being.

What tells us so — that it’s for us?

    Love.

    And a smile.
