If you easily feel anxious, overstimulated, overwhelmed, and thus exhausted, if you pick up moods or emotions of those around you somehow, if you are keen at finding patterns from your environment and putting things together to see what is coming next, if you need to retrieve yourself to be alone to recharge your energies, we have a lot in common.
I am an aspiring INFP writer; writing a movie script is my goal but that hasn’t happened yet. Owing to my procrastinating, perfectionist traits, my dream to become a screenwriter had been buried deep inside of me for a “decade” before I found Lauren Sapala’s books, “The INFJ Writer” and “The INFJ Revolution”. These books are filled with her insights about INFJ/INFP writers which made great sense to me; we are perfectionists with little confidence in our work, having full of fear in showing what we write to others, equipped with intuitions and deep thoughts/feelings but usually being misunderstood by the main-stream audience.
I was drawn into her books – it was as if she was explaining my personality. I was delighted to learn about myself through her words and inspired greatly. Because now our lives are evolving with use of the Internet, we, INFJ/INFPs, HSPs and empaths, can find one another easier than ever, be connected and influence, heal and grow together. Our super-sensitivity shouldn’t be just extra loads of our lives but we can shine with it by expressing ourselves through creative, artistic outlets. I can’t wait to be connected with readers who are not only writers but any other artists such as journalists, photographers, editors, web/graphic designers, illustrators and performers, including “artists-to-be”.
Here is an excerpt from one of her books that I was truly empowered and inspired:
“INFJs, our time has come. Our time is now. There is no more waiting. If you’re still holding back, then know that you are not being held back by anything outside of you. This is your time to not only shine, but to use your light to change the world. Our society is shifting in a way so that our intuitive, creative, compassionate, and magical gifts are finally welcomed. But it’s up to each one of us to find our own voice, our own truth, and our own potential. “ – by Lauren Sapala “The INFJ Revolution”
