What Makes You Smile (Poem)

I write,
Not because I love literature
I write,
Because I want to connect with people

I write,
Not just because I enjoy writing
I write,
Because I want to heal wounded souls

I write,
Not just because I seek readers
I write,
Because I want to awake readers’ hidden potential, buried passion

I write,
Because of my passion to give a nudge
To people to start something
Something exciting, joyous and meaningful
Something that will bring them a smile
That, in turn, will bring ME a smile
