Thoughts Become Things (Poem)

Thoughts become things
The very thing you spend time on
The very thing you pour effort into
Those things will grow in your life
To come back to you eventually

You are who you are today because of the thoughts you had in the past
Some may argue that they never wished to be in the current situation
People, school, job, neighborhood, or yourself
Well, you may be in the process of manifestation
If you don’t like where you are, all you can change is: The way you think

Instead of getting annoyed, frustrated, or depressed by things that are beyond your control
Instead of focusing, resisting, or whining about things that don’t sit well with you
Find thoughts about something you like, appreciate, and feel grateful
Keep that warm and fuzzy feeling in mind, for today
And repeat it everyday

You are the writer, the director, and the actor playing the main character of a movie called “(your name)”
The more clear, believable, and detailed vision you have
The closer and faster you can bring it to the reality
Your brain will guide you through in unexpected, unique ways
Through an odd dream, your favorite podcast, or a conversation of passers-by

The Chinese Old Master, Lao Tzu, left his wisdom this way:

“Watch your thoughts, they become your words;
  watch your words, they become your actions;
  watch your actions, they become your habits;
  watch your habits, they become your character;
  watch your character, it becomes your destiny.”
